Willard M Mbalaka

  • Co-founder and CEO of Kweneng Group and its subsidiaries
  • 21 years’ industry experience across Africa (East, West, Central and Southern Africa), Asia and Australia.
  • Previously Senior Exploration Geoscientist/Project Leader at BHP Billiton, Senior Exploration Geologist at Anglo American and Exploration Manager at Sephaku Group and Asian Precious Minerals.
  • Expertise in exploration strategy formulation, programme design and planning, technical assessments, mineral resource technical audits and reviews, validation and due diligence; conceptual (scoping), pre- and definitive feasibility studies,, and mineral projects valuation
  • Part of technical team that evaluated Sephaku Cement (now Dangote Cement) and Sephaku Fluoride (Sepfluor’s Nokeng Project) from early stages through to feasibility studies

Ephraim Masibhera

  • Co-founder and Technical Director of Kweneng Group and its subsidiaries
  • 17 years experience in exploration and mining across Africa (DRC, Ghana, Zambia, Tanzania, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Mozambique, Zimbabwe)
  • Previously Senior Geologist at Monterro Mining, Rio Tinto, Bastillion Resources, ZISCO and Adamus Resources
  • Notable world-class projects include Newmont Project in Ghana, BHP Billiton Mumbwa Project in Zambia, Anglo Gold Ashanti Mongbwalu in DRC
  • Expertise in exploration project management, including geological mapping and drilling supervision and sampling

Ndivhuwo Mufamadi

  • Technical Assistant at Kweneng Group since mid 2018
  • Graduated in 2014 with BEs. Honours in Mining & Environmental Geology from University of Venda
  • Mining career started Anglo American Platinum as Geologist Assistant at Mogalakwena Mine where she worked for 2 years
  • Worked for the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) as Mining Equipment Assistant to the Deputy Director for 1 year
  • Developed and reviewed policies to improve the competitiveness, capacity and capability of South African mining and mineral processing equipment manufacturers in South Africa, Africa, South America and other key markets
